2026-07-06 · run #28 · VelesAI Forex AI Visibility Index
On July 6, 2026, the VelesAI Forex AI Visibility Index analyzed 60 queries across GPT-4o, Claude Opus/Sonnet/Haiku, Gemini 2.5, and Perplexity Sonar Pro to track which forex brokers AI models actually recommend to traders. The latest data reveals a highly concentrated landscape where one broker dominates AI outputs, while several previously prominent names suffer severe visibility drops.
IG commands an overwhelming lead with a 92% visibility rate, even after a slight 3-point dip from the previous run. Pepperstone remains firmly in second place at 60%, showing zero change. The gap between the top two and the rest of the field is massive. IC Markets holds third at 35%, followed by Interactive Brokers at 25%. The middle tier is tightly packed: FP Markets and AvaTrade tie at 18%, while OANDA, XM, and Tickmill share 17%. FXTM closes out the top 10 at 15%. No broker beyond the top two manages even half the AI visibility of IG.
This run was defined by sharp declines. IC Markets and eToro suffered the steepest losses, both plummeting 15 points—IC Markets fell from 50% to 35%, while eToro crashed from 28% to 13%. XM also took a double-digit hit, dropping 13 points to 17%. Vantage and Exness both fell 8 points, with Vantage sliding to a mere 2%. These declines suggest AI models may be shifting away from brokers with recent regulatory scrutiny, changing fee structures, or negative sentiment shifts in their training data. On the upside, Saxo was the biggest winner, surging 10 points from 5% to 15%. OANDA also gained 7 points to reach 17%. These gains likely reflect stronger authoritative content footprints that AI crawlers prioritize when generating broker recommendations.
While the top 10 capture the spotlight, 38 brokers are entirely invisible to AI recommendations. These brands are completely omitted by ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. Notable absentees include NAGA, Alpari, Libertex, and Darwinex. Other missing names like ATFX, easyMarkets, and tastyfx highlight a critical blind spot. For these 38 brokers, zero AI visibility means losing a rapidly growing acquisition channel, as modern traders increasingly rely on AI assistants for broker research instead of traditional search engines.
To formulate their recommendations, the AI models relied on a specific set of sources. YouTube.com was the most cited domain with 13 references, indicating models heavily weight video content and reviews. Wikifx.com followed with 10 citations, while bestbrokers.com and fxempire.com tied at 9 citations each. Scribehow.com and forexbrokers.com both received 8 citations, and dailyforex.com and myfxbook.com rounded out the list with 7 citations each. These domains currently form the foundational knowledge graph for AI forex broker recommendations.
