AI Visibility Index Sep 14: IG Dominates at 93% While Three Brokers Plunge 7 Points

2026-09-14 · run #49 · VelesAI Forex AI Visibility Index

The latest VelesAI Forex AI Visibility Index, recorded on September 14, 2026, reveals which forex brokers ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity actually recommend to traders. Analyzing 60 queries across GPT-4o, Claude Opus/Sonnet/Haiku, Gemini 2.5, and Perplexity Sonar Pro, the data shows a concentrated market: one broker commands overwhelming visibility, while 32 brokers remain entirely invisible to AI models.

Winners and the Leaderboard

IG sits unchallenged at the top of the leaderboard with a 93% visibility rate, edging up 1 point from the previous run. Pepperstone holds a distant second at 72%, though it dropped 3 points. The mid-tier tells a story of stagnation and decline: Interactive Brokers and eToro held flat at 42% and 28%, respectively, while IC Markets fell sharply to 45%. Saxo was the only broker in the top 10 to gain meaningful ground, rising 4 points to 27%. Forex.com remained static at 25%, rounding out a leaderboard where upward momentum is exceptionally rare.

The Movers and Plausible Why

This run was defined by steep, synchronized drops. IC Markets, OANDA, and XM each tumbled 7 points—IC Markets falling from 52% to 45%, OANDA from 35% to 28%, and XM from 25% to 18%. FP Markets and AvaTrade both shed 5 points. The most plausible explanation for these declines lies in the shifting citation patterns of AI models. As models update their training weights and rely on different aggregator sites, brokers lacking recent high-authority editorial mentions are systematically downgraded in AI-generated recommendations.

Conversely, Axi made a surprising entry, jumping from 0% to 7% visibility. This kind of sudden appearance typically indicates that AI models have recently indexed new, high-ranking comparison content or updated regulatory announcements featuring the brand, pushing it into the recommendation layer for the first time.

The Invisible-to-AI Problem

While the top 10 capture the bulk of AI recommendations, 32 brokers scored exactly 0% visibility. These brands are functionally invisible to traders using AI for research. The index data highlights several of these absentees, including AMarkets, ATFX, Alpari, BlackBull Markets, Blueberry Markets, Darwinex, Doo Prime, Errante, FBS, Finex, Forex4you, and GO Markets. Despite operating active businesses, these firms are entirely locked out of the AI recommendation loop, representing a critical blind spot in modern digital visibility.

Which Pages AI Cited This Run

AI models don't invent broker recommendations from scratch; they synthesize them from human-authored web sources. This run, forexbrokers.com was the most cited domain at 16 mentions, followed by fxempire.com with 12 and dailyforex.com with 10. Other heavily referenced sources included compareforexbrokers.com (9), bestbrokers.com (8), investopedia.com (7), daytrading.com (7), and tradingfinder.com (5). Brokers featured prominently on these specific domains are the ones driving the top of the visibility index.
