2026-09-28 · run #53 · VelesAI Forex AI Visibility Index
The latest VelesAI Forex AI Visibility Index, recorded on September 28, 2026, reveals which brokers large language models actually recommend. Analyzing 60 queries across GPT-4o, Claude Opus/Sonnet/Haiku, Gemini 2.5, and Perplexity Sonar Pro, the data shows a concentrated market: a single dominant leader, a tight mid-tier, and a vast segment of the industry entirely invisible to AI.
IG dominates the AI visibility landscape with a 95% visibility rate, up 7 points from the previous run. This means IG was recommended in 57 out of the 60 AI prompts tested. Pepperstone holds a distant second place at 60%, followed by a tied third: IC Markets and Interactive Brokers both sit at 40%. The top 10 is rounded out by OANDA (35%), Forex.com (28%), Saxo (27%), FP Markets (22%), eToro (22%), and CMC Markets (17%). The upper tier remains stable, but the gap between first and second place has widened to a staggering 35 percentage points.
The most significant shift this run comes from OANDA, which surged 13 points, moving from a visibility of 22% to 35%. FP Markets also made a strong leap, climbing 9 points from 13% to 22%. Forex.com gained 8 points (rising from 20% to 28%), and XTB matched that 8-point gain, moving from 5% to 13%. Even the leader IG grew, pushing from 88% to 95% with a 7-point gain. Saxo also advanced 7 points, reaching 27%.
Conversely, AvaTrade dropped 6 points (from 18% to 12%), and Eightcap fell 5 points, dropping from 5% to absolute zero. Why the shifts? AI models rely heavily on the sources they cite. Brokers featured prominently on highly cited review and comparison sites naturally see their visibility rise. OANDA, FP Markets, and Forex.com likely gained traction because their profiles, regulatory standing, and reviews were updated or featured more prominently across these heavily weighted reference domains. Meanwhile, brands losing ground may have seen their relevance diluted in the latest crawl of these aggregator sites.
While the top 10 capture the AI recommendations, 36 brokers registered 0% visibility—they are completely invisible to AI models. The models did not recommend them once across the 60 queries. Examples of the AI-invisible include AMarkets, ATFX, Alpari, Axi, Blueberry Markets, Darwinex, Doo Prime, Eightcap, Errante, FXOpen, Finex, and Forex4you. For these brands, the AI recommendation channel is effectively closed, regardless of their actual trading conditions or regulatory status.
The models' recommendations are directly tethered to their source material. This run, forexbrokers.com was the most cited domain at 21 citations, followed by dailyforex.com with 16. Other heavily referenced sources included investinglive.com (12), bestbrokers.com (11), daytrading.com (10), compareforexbrokers.com (10), fxleaders.com (9), and fxempire.com (8). Securing placement on these specific domains is a primary driver of AI visibility.
