2026-10-01 · run #54 · VelesAI Forex AI Visibility Index
The latest VelesAI Forex AI Visibility Index, run on October 1, 2026, tracked 60 queries across GPT-4o, Claude Opus/Sonnet/Haiku, Gemini 2.5 and Perplexity Sonar Pro to see which forex brokers the major AI models actually recommend. The headline: IG remains the clear leader with 90% visibility, though even the top brand slipped 5 points from 95%. Meanwhile, 35 brokers were completely invisible to AI recommendations this run.
IG holds a commanding 35-point lead over second-place Pepperstone (55%, down 5 points). IC Markets sits third at 48% after gaining 8 points — the biggest rise of the run. Interactive Brokers (35%, down 5), Forex.com (27%, down 1) and a tied pair of OANDA and Saxo (both 23%) fill out the middle of the top 10. eToro held steady at 22%, with FP Markets (17%) and Tickmill (17%) closing the list. No brand besides eToro and rising Tickmill escaped the downward pressure this run.
OANDA posted the sharpest fall of the index, dropping from 35% to 23% — a 12-point loss that knocked it from clear sixth place into a tie with Saxo. IC Markets moved the other direction, climbing from 40% to 48% and consolidating its top-three position. Tickmill added 4 points to reach 17%.
Five brands lost exactly 5 points each: IG, Pepperstone, Interactive Brokers, FP Markets and Exness (now at 7%, falling from 12%). CMC Markets shed 4 points to land at 13%, outside the top 10. The pattern of broad, evenly spread declines alongside isolated gainers suggests AI models redistributed recommendations rather than uniformly narrowing them — IC Markets and Tickmill appear to have captured share the others lost.
The index found 35 brokers with zero visibility in AI recommendations — meaning ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity did not surface them at all across 60 queries. The list includes NAGA, GO Markets, Alpari, OctaFX, Libertex, Darwinex, easyMarkets, ATFX, HYCM, Forex4you and others. For these brands, the fastest-growing research channel in retail trading simply does not exist. Whatever their market share among human traders, they are absent from the conversational layer where a growing number of traders now start their broker search.
The sources AI cited most this run were dominated by broker-comparison and news sites. Forexbrokers.com led with 16 citations, followed by investinglive.com (12), dailyforex.com (11), fxempire.com (9) and bestbrokers.com (9). Compareforexbrokers.com and financefeeds.com each logged 7 citations, and fxleaders.com 6. The citation leaderboard points to a clear implication: appearing on — or advertising through — these domains is currently the most reliable path into AI recommendations.
