2026-07-09 · run #29 · VelesAI Forex AI Visibility Index
VelesAI's independent Forex AI Visibility Index, recorded on July 9, 2026, tracked 60 distinct queries across four major AI models: GPT-4o, Claude Opus/Sonnet/Haiku, Gemini 2.5, and Perplexity Sonar Pro. The latest run reveals a stark consolidation at the top of the market, with one broker commanding near-total visibility, while a staggering 42 brokers remain entirely invisible to AI recommendations.
IG continues to dominate the AI recommendation landscape, holding the top spot with a 93% visibility rate—a 1-point increase from the previous run. The gap between first and second place is massive; Pepperstone sits at 48%, having lost significant ground. IC Markets claims third place at 38%, up 3 points. Interactive Brokers remains static at 25%. A three-way tie for fifth place features OANDA, XM, and AvaTrade, each capturing exactly 20% visibility (OANDA and XM gained 3 points, AvaTrade gained 2). FP Markets and CMC Markets share the eighth position at 18%, while Forex.com rounds out the top 10 at 17%.
The most dramatic shift this run is Pepperstone's 12-point plummet from 60% to 48%. Conversely, CMC Markets surged 11 points, climbing from 7% to 18%. Other significant upward movers include FXCM, which jumped 7 points from 3% to 10%, and BlackBull Markets, which gained 6 points to reach 8%. On the decline, Exness fell 5 points to 5%, while Eightcap and OctaFX both dropped 3 points, falling to 0%. What explains these swings? AI models dynamically weight their source citations. With YouTube dominating this run's citation list, brokers with strong video content presence may have gained an edge, pushing CMC Markets up. Meanwhile, shifting algorithmic preferences away from certain text-based aggregators likely eroded Pepperstone's previous dominance.
While the top 10 capture the bulk of AI recommendations, 42 brokers scored 0% visibility—meaning the models did not recommend them at all. Notable brands like GO Markets, NAGA, Alpari, Vantage, and Swissquote are completely absent from AI outputs. Even previously visible brokers like Eightcap and OctaFX have vanished, dropping to 0% this run. Other invisible names include Forex4you, ATFX, Libertex, HYCM, and Finex. For these firms, the AI recommendation channel is effectively closed.
The models' recommendations are directly tied to the sources they scrape and cite. This run, youtube.com led the citation list with 15 mentions, indicating a heavy reliance on video content. Traditional review aggregators followed: forexbrokers.com secured 9 citations, while bestbrokers.com and dailyforex.com tied with 7 citations each. Lower-tier citations included wikifx.com and fxempire.com with 4 each, tradingfinder.com with 3, and offbeatforex.com with 2.
