VelesAI Forex Visibility Index: July 13, 2026 — IG Dominates at 90% While Pepperstone Surges 10 Points

2026-07-13 · run #30 · VelesAI Forex AI Visibility Index

On July 13, 2026, VelesAI tracked 60 queries across GPT-4o, Claude Opus/Sonnet/Haiku, Gemini 2.5, and Perplexity Sonar Pro to measure which forex brokers AI models actually recommend to traders. The latest independent Forex AI Visibility Index reveals a consolidating top tier, significant mid-board momentum, and a stark reality for brokers that fail to register in AI training data.

Winners & Leaderboard Story

IG remains the undisputed leader of AI visibility, recommended by 90% of model responses, despite a slight 3-point dip from the previous run. The gap to second place is substantial: Pepperstone holds 58% visibility, followed by IC Markets at 42%. The middle tier is tightly packed; FP Markets and Interactive Brokers both sit at 25%. A cluster of brokers shares the 20% mark, including Forex.com, OANDA, and AvaTrade, while Saxo rounds out the top 10 at 17%. Interactive Brokers, OANDA, AvaTrade, and Saxo showed zero movement this run, indicating static AI recommendations for these legacy brands.

The Movers and Plausible Why

The biggest momentum belongs to Pepperstone, which climbed 10 points from 48% to 58%. FP Markets and eToro also posted strong gains, each jumping 7 points (FP Markets from 18% to 25%; eToro from 15% to 22%). IC Markets added 4 points, moving from 38% to 42%. Conversely, several brands lost AI ground. CMC Markets dropped 6 points to 12%, while FXTM and XM each fell 5 points to 10% and 15%, respectively. FxPro made a marginal debut, moving from 0% to 5%. A plausible driver for these shifts lies in the sources AI models consume. Brands gaining visibility appear to be those actively featured on highly cited video and comparison platforms, whereas declining brands may be suffering from stale or less frequently updated third-party content that models weight less heavily.

The Invisible-to-AI Problem

While the top 10 capture the spotlight, 36 brokers remain entirely invisible to AI recommendations. These brands are never cited by the major models, effectively locking them out of the AI-driven referral pipeline. Examples of invisible brokers include NAGA, GO Markets, Alpari, Forex4you, ATFX, OctaFX, Libertex, Darwinex, Swissquote, HYCM, Finex, and HF Markets. For these 36 firms, zero AI visibility means missing out entirely on the next generation of automated trader acquisition.

Which Pages AI Cited This Run

The AI models did not generate broker recommendations from thin air; they heavily cited specific external domains. YouTube.com was the most referenced source, cited 17 times. Traditional review aggregators followed, with forexbrokers.com cited 10 times, dailyforex.com and bestbrokers.com tied at 7 citations each, and wikifx.com cited 5 times. Rounding out the top sources were fxempire.com and daytrading.com with 4 citations each, and tradingfinder.com with 3. The dominance of video content as a citation source underscores a critical shift in how AI models synthesize broker reputations today.
