2026-08-13 · run #39 · VelesAI Forex AI Visibility Index
The latest VelesAI Forex AI Visibility Index, captured on August 13, 2026, reveals which forex brokers are actually being recommended by today’s leading large language models. Analyzing 60 distinct trader queries across GPT-4o, Claude Opus/Sonnet/Haiku, Gemini 2.5, and Perplexity Sonar Pro, the data shows a clear hierarchy forming in AI-driven broker recommendations—and a growing dark space where 38 brokers are completely absent from the AI conversation.
IG continues to dominate the AI recommendation landscape, achieving a 92% visibility score across the tracked models, up 2 percentage points versus the previous run. Pepperstone remains a distant second at 57%, down 1 point. IC Markets holds the third spot at 42% with zero movement. The mid-tier is tightly contested: Interactive Brokers sits at 28% (up 3 points), while Saxo, OANDA, and XM cluster between 22% and 23%. The bottom of the top 10 features FP Markets, Forex.com, and eToro, all tied at 20% visibility, with FP Markets and eToro shedding 5 and 2 points respectively.
The most dramatic shifts this run belong to XM and Saxo. XM surged by 7 points (from 15% to 22%), and Saxo gained 6 points (from 17% to 23%). These gains likely reflect increased citation weight from authoritative review domains that AI models heavily index. Conversely, AvaTrade dropped 7 points (from 20% to 13%), and BlackBull Markets suffered a complete 10-point collapse, falling from 10% to 0%. FP Markets also slipped 5 points. A plausible driver for these declines is AI models prioritizing highly structured, frequently updated aggregator content over fragmented or outdated broker information. Meanwhile, smaller absolute gains from Admirals (up 4 points) and CMC Markets (up 5 points) suggest these brands are successfully penetrating AI training datasets.
While the top 10 capture the majority of AI mindshare, 38 brokers registered zero visibility. This means models like GPT-4o and Claude completely omit them when asked for broker recommendations. Notable names in the invisible bracket include BlackBull Markets, Capital.com, City Index, FBS, and Alpari. Despite being active in the traditional affiliate and SEO spaces, these brands lack the digital footprint required to surface in AI-generated responses. For traders relying on AI for research, these brokers effectively do not exist.
AI models are not generating broker recommendations from thin air; they are heavily reliant on a specific cluster of review and comparison sites. This run, forexbrokers.com led all cited sources with 10 mentions. It was followed by bestbrokers.com with 8 citations, dailyforex.com with 6, and both investopedia.com and fxempire.com with 5 each. Lower-tier citations included wikifx.com, offbeatforex.com, and fastbull.com, which garnered 3 citations each. Securing placement on these specific domains is directly correlated with higher AI visibility.
