2026-08-27 · run #43 · VelesAI Forex AI Visibility Index
The latest VelesAI Forex AI Visibility Index, captured on 27 August 2026 across 60 queries, reveals a stark hierarchy in how large language models recommend forex brokers to traders. Analyzing outputs from GPT-4o, Claude Opus/Sonnet/Haiku, Gemini 2.5, and Perplexity Sonar Pro, the data shows that AI visibility is consolidating at the top, while a significant portion of the broker market remains entirely invisible to algorithmic recommendations.
IG continues to hold unchallenged dominance in the AI visibility landscape, holding steady at 93% visibility with zero change from the previous run. This means IG was recommended in 56 out of the 60 AI queries tested. Pepperstone remains a distant second at 57%, up 2 points, followed by IC Markets at 37% (-1 point) and Interactive Brokers at 28% (-2 points). The middle tier remains tightly contested: eToro climbed to 22% (+4), while AvaTrade, FP Markets, and Tickmill are locked in a three-way tie at 20%. Forex.com holds the ninth spot at 18%, and Saxo rounds out the top 10 at 17%.
The most dramatic shift this run belongs to OANDA, which plummeted 13 points, falling from 28% to just 15% visibility. This sharp decline suggests a recent change in how LLMs weigh or access OANDA's information, potentially due to shifting source rankings or content updates. Conversely, Exness surged 7 points (from 8% to 15%), effectively replacing OANDA's lost presence. A cluster of brokers gained 5 points each—Admirals (7% to 12%), FxPro (2% to 7%), Plus500 (8% to 13%), and Saxo (12% to 17%)—likely driven by increased citations on aggregate review sites. eToro (+4) and AvaTrade (+3) also posted steady gains, reflecting growing AI confidence in their brand recognition.
While the top 10 capture the lion's share of AI recommendations, the index identifies 40 brokers that remain entirely invisible to the models. These brands receive zero recommendations across GPT-4o, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. Examples from this invisible tier include AMarkets, ATFX, Alpari, BlackBull Markets, Blueberry Markets, City Index, Doo Prime, Equiti, Errante, FXOpen, Finex, and Forex4you. For these 40 brokers, the AI recommendation funnel is effectively closed, representing a critical blind spot in how modern traders discover platforms.
When generating forex broker recommendations, the LLMs relied heavily on a specific cluster of human-authored review domains. ForexBrokers.com led the citation board, cited 15 times. DailyForex.com followed with 7 citations, while BestBrokers.com secured 5. Investopedia.com and FXEmpire.com tied with 4 citations each. A third tier of sources included Forex.mobile, WikiFX.com, and TradingFinder.com, which each garnered 3 citations. These domains act as the primary gatekeepers of AI visibility.
